I never set out to be an entrepreneur. In fact, I grew up believing I wasn’t particularly smart. School was never really my thing, and I often felt like I didn’t quite fit.

But life has a way of nudging us in the direction we’re meant to go.

In my mid-twenties, I followed one of those nudges and started my first business, Alyssa Agency.

A few years later, after becoming a mom, I launched mini mioche - an ethical and sustainable children’s lifestyle and apparel brand.

With no design or manufacturing background, I turned a simple idea into a beloved Canadian brand that grew far beyond what I could have imagined.

Building a values-led business was the most rewarding, challenging, and transformative experience of my life. There’s nothing quite like entrepreneurship to put you on a rocket ship to personal growth.

In 2023, after 15 years building mini mioche, I made the decision to sell and step away from the company. I didn’t know exactly what was next, only that I was ready for a new chapter.
